Julie Ann Hughes
Along with her team, Julie Ann created the group #caruamlwch over 4 years ago! After going around the table and asking what she wanted to see in the community, Julie Ann said she wanted an allotment.From there, Julie Ann and others in the group managed to created 35 allotments in just over a year! These allotments now serve a vital role in their local communities.
Harbury e-Wheels
Harbury e-Wheels provides transport to those in need using 2 electric cars. Their aim is to reduce rural isolation and enable local agencies to deliver their services.In 2019, they volunteered for 1,600 hours, driving over 17,000 miles! Thank you Harbury e-Wheels!
Rufford Road Alley Cats
Starting just as a group of neighbours who decided during lockdown the best way to use their time was to take back their alley; now an activity the whole community is involved in!Fed up with all the rubbish being dumped in their alley way, after asking volunteers to help, the 'Alley Cats' got the rubbish cleared, weeded and scrubbed the cobbles, and began planting flowers, fruit and vegetables for the community to enjoy!
