After an enthralling season of club football, you could forgive players for wanting some time off to recharge the batteries. As we know, that won’t be the case this summer. The Euros are well and truly underway and we just simply can’t get enough! Despite the scorching weather deserting us temporarily, the action is just heating up!
England, Scotland and Wales are bearing the burden of Britain's hopes during the tournament. Will Kane and co. bring it home? Can the Tartan Army spring a Scottish surprise? Or will Gareth Bale inspire Wales to another Euro semi final - or even further?
It’s too early to predict that just yet but what we do know is: the action packed matches go hand-in-hand with one of our tasty cans!
England vs Czech Republic, 22nd June
After the lukewarm encounter against Scotland last Friday, England will be keen to get their tournament back on track. There will be a few familiar faces on show with some Premier League players representing the Czech’s.
Although qualification is all but guaranteed, the feel good factor from the first game has disappeared slightly, so this is the perfect opportunity to galvanise spirits. Definitely one to grab a cold can of the good stuff!
Scotland v Croatia, 22nd June
Must-win game for the Scot’s this evening. After securing a point against England, they have put themselves in with a chance of qualifying for the knockout stage for the first time in a generation.
Despite the Covid outbreak in their squad, the Tartan Army will be confident of progressing. Expect fireworks from this match! We recommend a cold can of Root Beer to bring you back down to earth after the euphoria of watching Scotland in front of the Hampden Park crowd!
Wales vs Denmark, 26th June
The Welsh side are the first of the Home Nations to secure qualification for the knockout stages. Even though they were beaten 1-0 by Italy, Robert Page’s side did enough to get through. Such a great achievement for Gareth Bale and co. particularly as they weren’t given a chance by many to get out of their group.
Wales got to the semi finals of the last Euros, so going far this time won’t feel off the cards at all. It’s been a year of big upsets already. But if you grab a can of our Cherry Soda and enjoy this blockbuster, there’s no way you can be upset!
The Final, 11th July
Save the date - this will be massive. We don’t actually know if one of the Home Nations will be in the final. However, we’ve still got hope at this stage. And that counts for something - right? Nevertheless - this will be a complete blockbuster.
You’re spoilt for choice too as the BBC and ITV will be showing coverage simultaneously. Will you be following the likes of Gary Neville and Roy Keane on ITV or Gary Lineker and Thierry Henry on the BBC? Either way, it’s a guaranteed win!
That won’t be the only difficult choice to make either. Whether it’s the exhilarating juiciness of our Cream Soda or the show-stopping beauty of our Root Beer, Football plus Soda equals Good times indeed!
